READ status.log), and the Terminal will display the contents of that file. The overarching goal of Rundown 004 is mostly unknown, unlike previous Rundowns. The player may then type in READ FILE_NAME.EXT (i.e. When LOG is typed into the command line, the screen will display all logs with file extensions available on the Terminal. These are lore specific and not vital to gameplay in GTFO. There are also LOG and READ commands available in the Terminal. Replace the hashtags in this commands codes the player receives onscreen. During missions that use the UPLINK commands, players may use UPLINK_CONNECT # and UPLINK_VERIFY #. Players who must use REACTOR_VERIFY # should replace the hashtags with the four-letter code they receive during the mission. During missions that used the REACTOR commands, the player may use REACTOR_STARTUP, REACTOR_VERIFY #, and REACTOR_SHUTDOWN. REACTOR and UPLINK are mission-specific commands. The player may continue to issue the same PING command until their teammates have found the item. If other players on the team are close enough to the item, they will hear an audible, directional sound, that becomes louder as they approach. If "PING AMMOPACK_717" were typed, the Terminal would return the Zone and Area. The team must know the name of the item they are pinging. Typing the PING command into the Terminal will allow the player to locate the position of an item that is in the same Zone as them. Querying an objective would show the objective's available information. If the player were to QUERY a door, it might show where it leads or whether there is a KEY required. This information will help the team to decide if it's worth potentially fighting hordes of enemies on the way to the item. Since it is a consumable item, it will also show how much capacity is remaining or how many more uses the item has left. If "QUERY MEDIPACK_909" were typed in, the Terminal would return the Zone in which it would be found.

Players can only QUERY items for which they already know the name. The QUERY command has no additional options and is used to locate specific items, objectives, and doors.

If players entered "LIST AMMOPACK ZONE_14", the Terminal would display all AmmoPacks in Zone 14. If "LIST RESOURCES ZONE_14" were typed into the Terminal, the console would list all of the Resource Packs in Zone 14, which may include AmmoPacks, Tool Refill Kits, and Medipacks. Other options the player can add on to the LIST command include RESOURCES, ITEM_TYPE, and ZONE_#. This is too much information to parse through and use effectively. Typing this command without any further options to filter results will show every item on the map. The player can use the LIST command when they want a list of which items have spawned.
